How to Match a PV23 Pump with an MF23 Motor

Correct matching involves more than selecting hydraulic pump and motor from the same series.

Step 1: Identify the Drive Function

Determine whether the components will drive harvester's travel system or another mechanism. Different functions may require different torque, speed, and control characteristics.

Step 2: Calculate the Required Motor Output

Establish the target rotational speed and torque under normal operating conditions and during peak loads. These requirements form the basis for calculating the necessary motor displacement and pressure differential.

Step 3: Verify Pump Flow and Displacement

Confirm that PV23 pump can provide the flow required by MF23 motor throughout the intended speed range. Check pump's control method and available displacement range.

Step 4: Check the Hydraulic Circuit

Verify whether the application uses a closed-loop hydrostatic transmission. Confirm the requirements for the charge pump, flushing circuit, pressure relief valves, cooling, filtration, and case drainage.

The complete circuit configuration must be suitable for both components and the machine's operating conditions.
